Who is Kristy Chance?
Kristy Chance Starke is a Veteran of the United States Army, an entrepreneur, an advocate of small business ownership, business success coach, motivational speaker, and leadership and human resources expert. In 2020 she became a published author of her first book, “Level Up: The Ultimate Guide from Inspiration to Elevation”.
Kristy Chance Starke is an accomplished leader with over 15 years of “people and process management” experience. Kristy is a proud native of Camden County, residing in Kingsland, Ga.
She is the daughter of Ms. Malissia Chance (Retired, Camden County Schools, Board of Education Employee) and the late Leon, “Bo” Chance (former Camden County School Board Member, District 1) of Waverly, Ga. Kristy is the devoted mother of four wonderful children (two of which are college students, one is employed in Washington, DC as an IT professional, and the youngest attending Camden County schools). Kristy’s only brother, Jason Chance currently holds his father’s past seat (now in his 2nd cycle) on the School Board.
Kristy graduated from CCHS, class of 1991 as a class officer. She has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Brenau University as well as a master's degree in Business Administration from Liberty University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration with a cognate in Executive Leadership at Liberty University. She has an extensive background in Human Resources Management and Sales Management where she learned to excel in leadership, talent development, and conflict resolution. She has served on many community initiatives, championing job creation, diversity and inclusion, and community awareness.
Kristy is the owner of The Real Estate Queen, LLC, where she consults, educates, and brokers real estate investment funds for investors of multi-family residences and apartment properties. In addition, she is a certified “Life Coach" and has helped many people find their purpose and move forward in starting or growing their own businesses, including Real Estate Portfolios.
Kristy has found that her purpose in life is an "encourager"- using her gifts and talents to elevate people's self-awareness as well as their spiritual awareness. She is known for bringing groups of people together, capitalizing on diverse backgrounds, gifts, and talents for the greater good.
Kristy is currently the President of the Kings Bay Employer Committee, Dept of Labor. She is also Coordinator for the Southeast Georgia chapter of the Godhead International Prayer Ministry which allows her the honor of encouraging others to understand the beauty of who they really are, in the heart and mind of God through Jesus Christ.
MY PRIORITIES
I am foremost a public servant.
My vision is to work along side all of our dedicated elected officials, city workers, community leaders and the amazing residents of Kingsland to achieve a better community for us all.
In the aftermath of the pandemic as we continue to learn, grow, adapt, recover and rebuild I have identified three areas of priority.
Business Development
-Enhancing Mainstreet to highlight existing businesses, attract new businesses and more consumers
-Enhancing I-95 Exit 3 and 6 Business corridor
-Identifying ways to help small businesses develop and scale
-Enhancing awareness of home businesses
Workforce Development & Job Creation
-Working with the local technical college and Community college to ensure residents are fortified with skills necessary for sustainable jobs in our community
-Identifying future career forecasts and ensuring our workforce have training opportunities
-Supporting collaboration with institutions agencies and businesses for workforce solutions
Connecting Community Groups to strengthen our community
-Strategic partnerships and collaborations for resource allocation with in the community
-Identifying gaps and resolving shortages of resources
